Installing an APK requires special actions that are different per phone.

 

 

For Android 8 and above

Grant permission to your web browser to install the app:

Settings => Security & privacy => More settings 

Tap on Install apps from external sources

Select the browser you want to download and install the APK files from.

Toggle Allow app installs on

Download the App from here using the browser you enabled and tap on the downloaded file to install

​

For earlier versions

​

Enable Install apps from external sources:

Settings => Security => Device administration

Toggle Unknown sources on

Download the App from here​ using the browser you enabled and tap on the downloaded file to install

Since some phones have different menus the best practice is to search the internet for:

android [enter your device] install APK  from external sources

​
